In 1995 I wanted to create a design line that took the important parts of the Hawaiian Heirloom Jewelry, and elevated them with a striking powerful color, exquisite precise workmanship and detailed engraving. I imagined that if I were alive at that time and making jewelry for Royalty, what special piece could I do that would be a statement of regal Hawaiian Jewelry. The Alii line (Royalty) is this expression. Still Hawaiian Jewelry, but impressively different and the same, at the same time. Our crew worked on different adaptations of the line, and settled on the balance of the blue enamel, and the yellow gold to compliment each other in a striking way. It is our most popular line outside of the traditional black enameled jewelry.
